Brook House Surgery are no longer able to offer the service of implanting or removing Long-acting Reversible contraceptive devices (LARC).
These include;
- IUS
- IUD
- Contraceptive Implant
Should you require this service, you will need to contact Southampton Primary Care Ltd (SCPL) on 02380 170611 and request a LARC consultation. The consultation (with a GP) will last around 15 minutes and you will be helped to decide which contraception is best for you after which time you will be provided with a prescription.
Once you have obtained the prescription requirements, you will then be offered a further appointment to have the LARC fitted at one of SCPL's 'Hubs' with one of their dedicated LARC fitting clinicians.
