Push Doctors

We are now providing video consultations

Alongside our normal telephone and face-to-face consultations, we are also offering video consultations with the leading online GP provider, Push Doctor. Seeing a doctor via Push Doctor means you can:

● Book an appointment at a time that suits your schedule, outside of normal surgery hours

● Consult with an NHS GP from the comfort of your own home, or other convenient location

● Show the clinician any areas of concern in relation to your condition, while allowing them to pick up on any visual cues

● Help us save face-to-face appointments for patients that need them, e.g. those requiring physical examinations or blood tests

To get started, simply download the Push Doctor smartphone app or click here to visit the Push Doctor website and create an account.

GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. Once you have signed up, you will be able to:

  • Cancel appointments online
  • renew or order repeat prescriptions online
  • view parts of your GP record, including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results

You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time. More information including “how to” leaflets and videos of patients and why they are using GP online services are available at www.nhs.uk/gponlineservices

Why use eConsult

eConsult is a clever bit of software that allows you to quickly and safely get help and advice from your own doctors
and GP practice online, for free, from anywhere.

eConsult is a form-based online consultation & triage platform the collects your medical or administrative request and sends it through to your GP practice to triage and decide on the right care for you and everyone else.

  • Community

By submitting an eConsult your doctors can make sure every patient gets the right care, saving appointments for those that need them. If you can use eConsult it means you free up the phone line for those who are not able to use the internet.
  • Reassurance

We don’t always know what is wrong with us, which is why we go to the doctors. By submitting an eConsult you give you doctors all the information they need to decide on the right care for you and your family.

  • Speed/Access

eConsult is available to use from any device connected to the internet. There is no need to wait in a phone queue or visit the practice. It takes just 3-4 minutes to complete an eConsult and your practice will get back to you within 1 working day, if not sooner.

Opting out of sharing your data

You can choose whether or not your data is used for research and planning. There are different types of data-sharing you can opt out of.

Stop your GP surgery from sharing your data

This is called a Type 1 Opt-out.

  • To do this you need to fill in an opt-out form and return it to your GP surgery. Download a Type 1 Opt-out form
  • Only your GP surgery can process your opt-out form. They will be able to tell you if, and when, you have been opted out

If you choose a Type 1 Opt-out, your GP will not share your data for research and planning. However, NHS Digital will still be able to collect and share data from other healthcare providers, such as hospitals.

Find out more about Type 1 Opt-out from   Transparency notice: how we use your personal data - NHS Digital

  1. Stop NHS Digital and other health and care organisations from sharing your data for research and planning

You can opt out, or opt back in again, at any time

Data used for your care

If you choose to opt out of sharing your data, your personal health information will still be used to make sure you get the treatment and care you need. For example, your data may be shared so that you can be referred to hospital or get a prescription.
